The Iota Foundation

The Iota Foundation was created in 2004 by a group of Zete Alumni under the leadership of Stephen S. Harper (1965) with the vision of supporting the Zeta Psi Iota Chapter at Cal. The Foundation is a California non-profit corporation.

Our Mission

The Iota Foundation shall serve to maintain the long- held tradition of leadership, strength and camaraderie of the Iota Chapter of Zeta Psi at U.C. Berkeley. By working closely with the ZY Active Brothers, the ZY Alumni Association and the Zete Mothers' Club and by fostering a renewed commitment and sense of awareness amongst the Alumni, the Foundation shall provide the leadership and support necessary to meet the Chapter's current and long-term needs.

Here’s a snapshot of what’s been accomplished so far and what we’re currently working on:

We set up our website (www.IotaFoundation.com) including an on-line directory of over 900 alumni and initiated regular newsletters keeping alumni up to date on important Iota news and events. Have you moved recently or gotten a new job? Click here to update your information.

The Foundation continues to execute on its major fundraising effort and capital campaign in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of the present Chapter House at 2728 Bancroft Way. We welcome input from all Alumni that are interested in retiring the existing $500,000 mortgage on the House, as well as creating a maintenance fund to cover the on-going upkeep of the roof, plumbing and electrical systems, as well as kitchen modernization, refinishing the hardwood floors, and the restoration of the library.
