UPCOMING EVENT – CAL vs. TENNESSEE GAME DAY RECEPTION @ THE ORIGINAL ZETE HOUSE

The Alumni Association and Iota Foundation are hosting a pre-game reception at the original Zete House located on campus. The original house is located right behind Boalt Hall, directly across the street from the existing house. In addition to serving food and drinks, the party will be a great opportunity to re-connect with old friends and get revved up for the game!

There is a block of 40 tickets (in General Admission), reserved for Zetes and their friends & families.
Ticket price $44.00/seat, 2 ticket max. To be sold on "first come, first serve" basis.

SUCCESSFUL 2007 ALUMNI BANQUET

This year's alumni banquet was another successful gathering of many generations of Zetes. Over 50 Alumni and Actives attended the April event which hosted a golf tournament and a banquet dinner. The big winners in the golf tournament were Bill Gunnell '66 (low net), Charlie Engs '93 (low gross) and Greig Lagomarsino '93 (as usual... best dressed!). The banquet featured a presentation by Greg McElroy, the President of Zeta Psi Fraternity of North America. Greg discussed the state of the Iota chapter, and he also presented a Zeta Psi tie to the President of the Alumni Association, Matt Tunney. A picture of Greg (left) and Matt is below. HOUSE UPDATE

The House currently has 40 members with over 30 of them living in. That's great progress from several years ago and puts the House and Alumni Association (who manages the property) in a much better financial position. The Association has recently implemented a detailed budget and accounting system and is proud to announce that from an operations standpoint, it is finally "in the black."

As promised the Iota Foundation has embarked upon the first stages of a capital campaign. The Foundation has secured initial contributions to complete a feasibility study and determine the specifics of the campaign. The results of the study should be available and distributed by the end of the year. FALL RUSH

Recruiting new members to the Zete house is critical for the long term strength of the organization. Fall rush starts in mid August, so if you know of any candidates or any individuals entering Cal that would enjoy learning about the house, now is the time to get their names and contact information into the process.
